Although the daily maintenance of a bicycle saddle does not involve complicated operations, it is crucial for riding comfort and longevity.

Cleaning and Inspection
Regular Wipe-Down: Use a soft, damp cloth with a neutral cleaner to remove sweat, mud, and sand, avoiding corrosion of the material (especially leather or synthetic leather).
Check Screw Tightness: Ensure that the seat post clamp and fixing screws are not loose to prevent the saddle from slipping or shifting during rides.

Check Structural Condition: Pay attention to whether the baseplate is cracked, rails are deformed, or the padding is sagging in any areas.

Material-Specific Care
Leather Saddle:
Avoid getting it wet; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately;
Regularly apply specialized leather care oil to prevent cracking.

Carbon Fiber/Plastic Base Saddle:
Avoid direct sunlight to prevent material aging;
Daily maintenance only requires keeping it clean, no additional care needed.

Foam/Synthetic Leather Saddle:
Keep away from sharp objects to prevent surface scratches;
After rain, dry it in time to prevent water absorption and mold inside.
